Madonna Announces The ‘Madame X Tour’ – A Unique Theater Show

Published: Monday 6th May 2019 by Sam

Madonna has been called many names over the course of her career, but predictable was never one of them.

She re-affirmed why moments ago when she announced the ‘Madame X Tour.’

Because, though she’s renown for breaking box office records with her arena-sized extravaganzas, her newest jaunt will be playing exclusively in theaters.

Details on the unique venture below…

Set to kick off in September, the trek will do away with the lengthy list of cities and instead will see Madge mount mini-residencies in select regions – including New York, Chicago, Boston, and Miami.

Thereafter, in early 2020, the Pop queen will take the show international playing to similar sized venues in London (The Palladium) and Paris (Grand Rex).

Adding to the air of unique will be the price point for the shows, which ranges from $10-$760 (!!!), and the means of getting one’s hands on them (a request submission system on the tour’s official site).

The trek is being embarked on to support Madonna’s 14th studio album ‘Madame X’ – which arrives on June 14th.

With the tour announced, more information has been divulged about how the Lisbon-birthed, Latin-inspired LP (which will come bundled with tickets) is being roll-out.

Notably, it’s been confirmed that a total of five tracks will be released before the project lands in stores. Thus far, ‘Medellin’ and ‘I Rise’ have hit the marketplace.

Following them will be ‘Crave’ featuring Swae Lee on May 10th, ‘Future’ with Quavo on May 17th, as well as ‘Dark Ballet’ on June 7th.

Suffice to say, the entire campaign is definitely different. It’ll be interesting to see if a larger arena tour will follow. But as at now we’re intrigued with what’s presently on her slate.

Check out the ‘Madame X Tour’ dates below (more will be revealed imminently)…

Hmmm, I think she’s extremely nervous about how the album will sell.

    • Liam May 6, 2019

Her albums don’t ever effect her tour numbers

      • SMH May 6, 2019

But her main concern is chart placement & record sales, otherwise she wouldn’t be doing tour bundles with every album.

  2. WHERE IS SHE May 6, 2019

“Fighting for social justice” vs. ticket prices.

    HYPOCRITE!

  3. Jackx May 6, 2019

Is she going to Boston? I don’t see that date

    • King z May 6, 2019

She is but it hasn’t been announced yet

  4. Seth May 6, 2019

She’s always wanted to do smaller theaters and is sure to announce a full sized arena tour later

i mean, i guess… her new songs aren’t really doing it for me

    • whut May 6, 2019

I agree, i’m honestly not excited about anything she has released for this era so far.

  6. Keith May 6, 2019

As usual, Madonna has an interesting approach to the BUSINESS side of the music industry. Perhaps if successful it could become a standard…as for the show, i will catch it on HBO/Netflix/Youtube/DVD

  7. WHERE IS SHE May 6, 2019

Madame Xpensive is traveling some mainstream cities,
Madame Xpensive is promoting social injustice,
Madame Xpensive is playing theatres for snobbish rich upper class people,
Madame Xpensive is choosing her audience in a way that feels like Nazi Germany,
Madame Xpensive is betraying her true and loyal fans,
Madame Xpensive is giving ain’t no s*** about her fans who supported her for decades….

I don’t like this idea. If you can fill a stadium why choose to do a theater?
